Alfred D. La Neve II, J.D., CPA, brings a unique set of experiences to ZMF Law which he draws upon to provide superior services for clients. Specifically, Al was in the corporate business world for over 15 years and worked his way up the proverbial corporate ladder from Accountant to Secretary-Treasurer before attaining the position of Chief Financial Officer of a $100 million construction equipment services company where he was the main point of business and financial contact for company owners and executives from all across the globe. Al has also been a Certified Public Accountant for more than 30 years and practiced in both private business and public accounting.
As a lawyer for the last 20 years, Al has split his time between litigation practice representing small to medium sized business in small boutique firms as well as represented clients in large multi-district litigation with a large law firm in the financial and oil and gas sectors. Al spends a good deal of time examining tax returns and researching tax issues on both the federal and state levels. As well, Al is in frequent contact with CPAs from accounting firms, clients and the Internal Revenue Service in discussing and resolving tax return and tax matters with multiple departments, including exam, appeals and collections within the Internal Revenue Service. Al has a unique background that puts him in a position to be of great value in providing clients with unique insight and an understanding of business tax issues.
As an attorney with many years of real life business experience and running a corporation, Al brings a unique perspective to ZMF and can often quickly relate to and identify with the issues. Al brings a wealth of experience and an early understanding of tax issues presented by clients which better serves and benefits ZMF’s clients.
