Sarah Husbands is deeply committed to protecting client assets through tax dispute resolution, effective tax reduction strategies, risk management and personalized tax planning for businesses and individuals. Sarah earned her law degree from the University of Houston and holds an L.L.M. in Taxation from the prestigious New York University School of Law. While attending law school, Sarah completed an internship with IRS Chief Counsel and, later, served as a Revenue Officer in IRS Collection for two years, where she developed a deep understanding of IRS procedures and resolution. Upon completing her degrees, Sarah gained extensive experience in tax planning at a respected regional firm. Her background in both the government and private sectors provide valuable insight into specific applications of the Internal Revenue Code and tax law enforcement. Her passion for assisting clients is evident throughout her professional achievements, having assisted both business owners and individuals in saving millions of dollars in IRS assessed tax liabilities.

At ZMF, Sarah leverages her unique background to assist clients in key areas such as IRS Collection proceedings, entity formations and dissolutions, local and federal audits and appeals, lien and levy releases, penalty abatements, payroll filing disputes, and identity theft matters. Sarah is passionate about assisting clients with their tax issues and applies a disciplined approach throughout her practice to implement effective and creative solutions tailored to the needs of each client. As a result, Sarah has been recognized for excellence in tax law, business law and contract law by the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the University of Houston Law Center.
In her personal life, Sarah is an active marathoner who enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Together they enjoy taking taekwondo lessons, practicing powerlifting, or traveling to new and favorite destinations.
